

Henry Nguyen, endowed professor of plant sciences at the University of Missouri, has been awarded the distinction of Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) for his distinguished research contributions to plant genetics and genomics, and for national and international recognition of his research leadership in abiotic stress research especially drought tolerance.
For Graduate Students
IPG Graduate Research Fellowships are available to work with IPG Faculty. Students wishing to apply should print out and complete the application materials below and submit their applications and supporting materials to the Interdisciplinary Plant Group, 371 Life Sciences Center, Columbia, MO 65211. The deadline for applications is January 15.
Prospective students may apply to enter graduate study and obtain a research assistanceship with any of our participating departments and divisions: Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Plant Sciences, Genetics Area Program, Computer Science, or the Life Sciences Doctoral Fellowship Program.
A small number of Postdoctoral Fellowships are supported by the IPG and the Life Sciences Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. However, the majority of Postdoctoral Researchers are funded from research grants awarded to individual faculty members. Those interested in Postdoctoral research at MU should contact individual IPG faculty members.
